Jamaica power outlets use type A & B power plugs, like the United States. While Jamaica power is 110 volts, compared to the United States’ 220 volts, that should not be a problem for most of your power needs.
If you are travelling from a country other than the United States you will need to buy a power plug adapter for Jamaica. They can be found in most department stores or online. Although you might be able to buy a converter once you arrive in Jamaica, you will save both time and money by buying the converter before leaving on your trip.
You can also buy voltage converters for your trip to Jamaica to convert 110 volts to 220 volts, but most modern electronic devices, such as iPhones, tablets and laptop computers are dual voltage and will work on either 110 or 220 volts. But it is always smart to double check your devices before traveling to make sure they will work in your destination country.
