I’ve found a few more details on Leonadro DiCaprio’s purchase of Blackadore Caye of the coast of Belize. The island apparently cost around $1.75 million, which seems like a pretty good deal to me. The resort will feature an airstrip and renewable energy sources.

Update: A satellite image of Blackadore Caye is available through Google Maps. If you zoom out you can get a better idea of where DiCaprio’s island is located.

Leonardo DiCaprio is buying his own island in the Caribbean. DiCaprio plans to build an environment-friendly resort on the 104-acre Blackadore Caye off the coast of Belize. Blackadore has white sand beaches, rocky outcrops and coconut trees.

The Caye is located between the Belize mainland and Ambergris Caye. A map can be found here. Ambergris Caye has a number of resort hotels and mainly serves tourists eager to dive at the famous Belize Barrier Reef.

Emerald Futures Real Estate has an extensive description of the property, including photos. There is no word on how much the island cost.
