Amazing Racer from Current Season Named in Drug Scandal
Uh oh—there’s trouble on the trail as an Amazing Race star has been named in an investigation into illegal drug activity. The racer, who’s a Rhode Island cop currently racing as part of the 16th season of the popular realty show, is only in for bumpy roads ahead as TMZ uncovers the details: According to the Rhode Island State Police, Louie Stravato has been put on “desk duty” — after his name came up in a “four month” investigation into a “large-scale” cocaine distribution operation. The upside to all this is that Amazing Race is definitely not a live show, so it’s not like the racers—and this cop—are out there in the world somewhere, where’s he could be in danger of being ejected from the show. It’s already been filmed, and thus you’ll find Stravato actually on desk duty and not guzzling beer on the road in Hamburg, where we left off with Amazing Race this week
